16: "Revolution" - how cycles lead to change (with Lisa Jara)
At first glance, the two definitions of “revolution” might seem to contradict each other:
Motion of anything which brings it to the same point or state.
A material or entire change in the constitution of government.
The first definition implies a return to the same point repeatedly, while the second suggests a complete and abrupt change of course.
This week, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Lisa Jara, a menstrual and (peri)menopausal health activist for women and non-binary menstruators, to explore the rich and varied dimensions of the word "revolution." Lisa's work helps individuals navigate their cyclical experiences with more ease and self-trust, making her an ideal guest for this truly fascinating conversation.
Tune in to learn…
How the concept of revolution as a cyclical return can lead to profound changes in our lives.
The importance of acknowledging and working with our natural rhythms.
Insights into the personal and communal impacts of redefining and reclaiming the word "revolution."
Honestly, this one may surprise you. Press play.
